India Week

An Indian Masterchef is heading to the Cambodian capital to add some spice to the menu at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh as it celebrates India Week.

It’s no secret that Phnom Penh is a foodie’s paradise, with cuisine from all corners of the globe served throughout the Cambodian capital. To mark India Week in Cambodia, culinary maestro Chef Jhupa Singh is flying in to curate seven days of feasting on fine Indian foods.

From 8 to 14 August, a jam-packed programme of culinary events will take over Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh. Highlights include a special launch event, a gala Indian Sunday brunch, and Indian inspired dinners, business lunch menus, and breakfast items.

Chef Jhupa Singh

Chef Singh, who hails from Uttar Pradesh in North India, is a master of Indian cuisine who plies his culinary trade at the award-winning SOMA fine dining Indian outlet at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai.

“We’ll give guests an overview of Indian food culture,” said Chef Singh. “From light, vegetarian breakfast items that originate in the south of the country to rich curries and aromatic kebabs from Northern India, we plan to make Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh the hub for a true Indian culinary odyssey.”

There are plenty of places to devour Indian food in Phnom Penh, with plenty of restaurants to choose from. Thanks to the Cambodian capital’s cosmopolitan vibe, visitors and city residents can enjoy cuisines from all corners of the country, with a healthy handful of Nepalese restaurants included in the mix.

Guests can sample the spicy spreads at Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh’s Market Café Restaurant & Lounge from August 8 to 14.
