The small town of Chhuk on the road between Kampot and Phnom Penh is famous for its duck. The ducks are roasted over hot coals in a rotating contraption. Chhuk duck is a local delicacy, so if you enjoy duck you may want to stop and buy one to try or a couple to take home.
There are a number of duck stalls lining the side of the main road as you pass through the village. Just stop (or ask your taxi to stop) and try this Kampot favourite. It’s highly likely that whether you’re on a bus or in a taxi, the driver or passengers will request a stop-off to buy some of the famed meat.
