Phnom Sambok Pagoda is a small pagoda atop a hill halfway between Kratie town and Kampi Mekong Dolphin area. It dates back to the 15th century and is a popular place of worship with locals during religious celebrations.
Phnom Sambok is about 70 metres high, with stairs leading to the temple at its peak – follow the line of monks as you climb the steps to the top. The pagoda boasts spectacular vistas of the surrounding countryside. At the foot of the hill, sits a large lake with clear waters.
